Tania + simon sent a great email to the great great world. The great email was seen. Announcing three things:

BYI organisation thing 30th May

• Tania + Foo doing the bar, 2 euros per drink
• for organisers and musicians, 3 free drinks.
• call Pablo for filming. … setup for sound.
• we need the microphones, 2 batteries

• Tania has a microphone stand at her house. has to get to G7.

tech stuff

Zentrix

• defining a workflow for migration …
• write a mail about shutdown of Zentrix
• shutdown zentrix as fast as possible…
• how to handle the email service
• we shut down the vhosts
• do we shutdown the email of these persons who are using the services for free.
• do we do any email for free?
• anything that is over-quota can be shut down
• around 500 accounts
• sonance.net should really be for involved people, have paid up, have an organisational function, or work for their accounts, etc.
• we have to send a mail out…
• not clear … can a member give away 100s of accounts…
• other possibility is that people cannot give away email accounts until the interface is sorted out.
• paid up members can have their email addresses and other services.
• anyone else who is not paid up and has nothing to do with the system … should be deleted.
• sympa is running on zentrix still. there are mailing lists for other people who are not paid up …
• we have to clear out the old accounts.
• must be on contact with the people … coz the passwords will have to be changed
• no phone support available … need to send the email out
• eg, africa list
• blogs: same thing.
• an account with sonance.net is a full service account
• mailing lists: if no owner, and not a member, should be shutdown.
• can the public archives be preserved for research? yes
• blogs: not depending on zentrix
• the point is to clean up LDAP … so everything which is gone will help a lot.
• leave the blogs. not a free service … but at some stage we will get around to cleaning them up.
• mySQL … data has been moved for lists, etc
• postgresql was used for sympa and webmail, not used any more
• archive. the vhost archive.
• many pages concerning the sonance history not transferred as yet
• enter.sonance is transferred, typo3, etc is transferred
• simon + matthias will make a list of activesonance sites to move …
• then one archive categoy called sonance history with static sites …
• another archive with vhosts of users …
• that have agreed to go to the sonance archive.
• give the user an opt-out option, rather than ask them and wait
• oli + simon + matthias will sit together and make this together
• when do we write the email?

• how is the phone call / support going to be handled
• no resources available to handle the phone. not at this moment handle the phones.
• get a phone … for mailbox only
• find a pre-paid phone, and use it as a mailbox only… Matthias can sort it out.
